Another Tuesday is upon us, which means it’s time to crack open the wallet and drop some duckets on quality entertainment. That’s where Top Shelf Tuesday comes in. It’s our duty to skim the top so you’re on-point when the money drops.

Besides an original score, some of the greatest directors have used their favorite musical tunes to make certain scenes simply unforgettable. By using these particular tracks, the songs, as well as the moving pictures, seem to become one and sometimes even become lost without the other.

It’s here, people. The first official trailer for X-Men: First Class has finally arrived. As you can probably guess, the film is a prequel to Bryan Singer’s first X-Men installment back in 2000. This epic new trailer showcases the first meeting between Charles Xavier and Erik Magnus Lensherr as young men in the 1960s at Oxford University. The mutant pair become fast friends and form the first X-Men class. Hit it after the jump.

The good folks over at Columbia Pictures have released yet another awesome new pic from Marc Webb‘s upcoming Spidey reboot The Amazing Spider-Man. The new picture features our favorite web-slinger in his full costume ready to take down any villain trying to terrorize New York City. Check out the full images after the jump.

This one is pretty wild, y’all. We Are What We Are is a disturbing tale about a group of teenage children that are forced to take on all the responsibilities of the family after their father passes away. Things get a little out of control due to the fact that the family members are actually cannibals. Hit it after the jump.

Starring Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin, the romantic comedy Something Borrowed is the story about a single gal in the city who falls in love with her best friend Darcy's fiancé. Hit the goofy drama after the jump, y'all.

Here’s another amazing new trailer for the highly anticipated comic feature Thor. In it, the Mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is cast down to Earth by his father (Anthony Hopkins) and forced to live among humans as punishment after recklessly reigniting an ancient war. Once on Earth, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero and helps fight off the darkest forces of Asgard. Epic stuff.

The Kardashians made a lot of money last year, Rod Stewart welcomes his eighth baby, and Jeopardy champs are no match for I.B.M.'s supercomputer…the Mantenna is just too damn good!

Cinema Verite tells the story of the making of An American Family, a 1973 PBS documentary series that followed the lives of the Loud Family. The groundbreaking series was one of the earliest examples of reality TV. The film stars Tim Robbins, Diane Lane, and James Gandolfini. Hit it after the jump.

Directed by Jonathan Hensleigh and starring Ray Stevenson, Christopher Walken, and Val Kilmer, Kill the Irishman is based on the true story of Irish mob boss Danny Greene. The biopic tells the amazing story of how Greene tried to work his way to the top of Cleveland's criminal underworld during the late 1970s.
